EE&G provided labor, equipment, and materials to remove and dispose of AMC concrete water pipes in connection with the replacement of a portion of the city’s aging water mains. The work was conducted on an as-needed basis, as directed by Roadway Construction. The work was conducted in multiple locations over a 2-3 month period.
The removal of asbestos-containing concrete pipes was completed so the utility contractor could complete tie-in to the new water pipe system. EE&G also provided project oversight under the supervision of a Florida-licensed asbestos consultant, including a written project specification and work plan, project oversight including required air monitoring during the removal of asbestos-containing water pipe in accordance with project specification.
