EE&G supported Brownfield redevelopment planning in Fort Lauderdale through environmental assessments of a former municipal incinerator site, a proposed linear park, and designated commercial corridors.
At Lincoln Park, EE&G investigated soil and groundwater conditions, coordinated with regulators and community groups, and developed an approved remediation plan incorporating protective engineering controls. This project was design-build and included source removal followed by placement and compaction of 2 feet of clean fill and converting the site into a public park. Post remediation groundwater monitoring was performed for 3 years.
